Saturday, Oct 7, 1-3:30pm:  ARM BALANCES & INVERSIONS MADE EASY

This workshop will use drills, demos, discussion, and practice-time to break down the most elemental arm balances and inversions, including their modifications, variations, and next steps. You’ll learn how to prep your body for poses done on your hands, ways to build the strength and awareness necessary for going upside-down, and how to do these poses mindfully for ultimate progress. Hot topics such as how to ween yourself away from the wall and wrist maintenance will also be covered.

Sunday, Oct 8 1-3:30pm CONNECTING ARM BALANCE & INVERSIONS

TWO ARM BALANCES ARE BETTER THAN ONE... especially when linked together in fun, challenging transitions!

This workshop will give you the tools and awareness to learn how to transition between poses on your hands. We’ll start by learning how to create a solid foundation then how to pivot our strength around this base of support.

Great for beginners and experienced inverters alike!

NOTE: Attending day 1 on 10/7 not required to attend day 2 workshop (and vice versa), though Saturday's offering is a great foundation to build on for this day of play!

In this two-hour workshop we will explore some of the basic postures, breathing and meditation techniques that make up the practice of Hatha/Vinyasa yoga. Students will leave with a basic understanding of proper alignment and technique, and will be prepared for most beginner and all level classes. Yoga is appropriate for just about anyone. You don't need to be flexible or be able to quiet the mind. You simply need the desire to show up and do your best. This workshop is perfect for people new to the practice of yoga as well as for more seasoned students who want to review the basics.

COST: $35 (includes one free week of yoga at the conclusion of the workshop, one class a day beginning the day of the workshop)

The Ashtanga Primary Series is a set sequence of postures designed to bring strength, flexibility, and endurance to the body. It is designed to purify the body through the breath and the movement to invoke a stillness of the mind.

This 2 hour class will be the full primary series of the ashtanga system. This flowing, set-sequence of postures utilizes ujjayi breath and bandhas (energy locks) to increase muscular strength, flexibility, concentration and to deepen one's connection to Self.

This offering is appropriate for anyone who has the desire to learn yoga and for the experienced yogi alike.

$20 || $25 day of event
