Hometown:  Asheville, NC

When I’m not teaching, you might find me:  Hiking and camping through the Blue Ridge Mountains, traveling the world with my boyfriend, snuggling my 3 pups and 2 cats, running with Rye, my crazy Australian Shepard.

My mantra:  Speak Softly & Exist with Volume

My “at bat” song:  “Kids” - MGMT

In my class you can expect:  a playful and dynamic flow, taught with a genuine voice. I like to create space for big movement and breath, but also space for quiet, mindful exploration. My class is a place for everybody and every body.

Badass moment:  Watching the sunrise while standing at the top of Haleakala, the dormant volcano in Maui.

Most influential mentor:  Shala Worsley, Joe Taft, and Kate Ainswoth. Shale and Joe were two of my teachers from my 200 hr YTT at Asheville Yoga Center. Shala taught me that your presence and energy in a class is just as influential as the words you say. Joe reminded that there is beauty in strength. Kate was my mentor, teacher, and friend at Shockoe Slip Yoga, the first studio I ever taught. She taught me first hand the importance of finding “your voice”, as a teacher and in life.

Party Pose:  Hollow Back Handstand (with a wall of course!) This pose makes me feel strong but also open to all those around me.

I dream:  of hiking that entire Appalachian Trail solo.
