*200 hour YTT, Practice Indie Yoga, Indianapolis, IN

Hometown:  Los Angeles, CA

When I’m not teaching, you might find me: at the beach, biking around town, walking my dog, Sasha Fierce, or trying to make our world more equitable through research and advocacy (AKA, my day job).

My mantra: I am enough.

My “at bat” song: Anything by Beyoncé

In my class you can expect: to challenge and consider what you think are your limits, to be playful and exploratory, to find both greater strength and greater softness.

Badass moment: Quitting my cushy office job in San Francisco to move across the country and go back to school in pursuit of a career I hoped would bring me more passion and purpose.

Yoga myth: “I’m not good [enough] at yoga.” Yoga is a process and a lifestyle, not an accomplishment or a competition. If you are showing up, trying your best, and having grace with yourself and your body, you’re GREAT at yoga!

Most influential mentor: My first boss helped me realize that I am far more capable than I had ever believed. Many years later, my first yoga teacher, Shannon Brasovan, taught me that all over again.

Party Pose:  Adho Mukha Vrksasana…AKA handstand!

I dream: taking my work abroad one day.
